The trail has opened its doors!

After eight months of intense preparation, "On the way ..." opened its doors!
The inauguration day was rich, more than 90 people were housed during the day, some were there for the picnic and the recital (of the most enjoyable and thank you to the original duo Ak-Hornet!) And others are came to visit the trail. We started with an introduction of a specialist in the plain: Mr. Camard then we left for 2h30 walk and observation, meetings ... with artists, children, bicycles, dogs etc.. Each with his approach and his personality, artists have touched the public, creating "gateways" permit discovery. These works are very different from each other, they can explore different facets of land art. The public had preferences that alternated according to taste but what is exciting is that there were long moments of discovery and observation to the works ... and then want to come back! because it is by living with them, observing them at different times that they are discovered. They are alive, they will evolve over time ...
THANKS to the plain of the Abbey of having us and hosting the works! THANK
artists, residences were an intense moment, so rich! thank you for these meetings and for your talent: François Fréchet, Femke van Dam, Myriam Manor, Matilda Mérigot Christophe Fréry.
I also add a guest artist at the last moment which will, I am sure very soon professional: Yoann Crépin for "the source of the flying pebbles.

Hello!

We are very pleased to welcome tomorrow, Sunday 18 April, François Fréchet in residence 15 days on the plains of the Abbey for the trail Land Art and the Environment Along the way ".
It will be on the plain on Monday morning meetings are possible and some already planned (with area youth, Living Art Workshop that will provide installation on the theme of the cycle ...). Feel free to contact us if you want to meet (eg group) or go for a walk cross! It will not be far from the channel cons.
The four other artists: Myriam Manor, Femke van Dam, Matias and Christophe Mérigot Fréry arrive April 30 on the plain.
visits will be held from May 2 to July 31, on reservation. Concerts and writing workshops will also be put in place, we'll keep you posted.
The inauguration is open to all, takes place on Sunday, May 2 , from 12.30: picnic pulled the bag, organized with the association "Living the Plaine de l 'Abbaye," Duo Recital accordion and trumpet " Ak-Hornet, "and visit the trail to 16h in the presence of artists.
Go path of the great country house, near the large cherry tree.
Do not forget the hat and leave your car at the sports complex Laune!

The plain of the Abbey of Villeneuve lez Avignon receives guests ... amazing!

A giant flower, Stellaria viminalis grows only in clean water ...! Francois Frechet,
a beaver four meters high venturing into fields
(notice to those who did not!), Myriam Manor,
mirrors honoring space, so precious on the plain, Femke van Dam,
redrawing lines flow better for the territory we do see ... Mathilde Merigot and Christophe Fréry.

Francois Frechet be present from April 19 on the plain within the residence 15 days.

Myriam Manor, Femke van Dam, Matilda Merigot and Christopher will attend Fréry from 30 April to the residences of three days.

The inauguration will take place on Sunday, May 2, 2010 , come all!

These four facilities are in place for three months, until July 31 . Visits Environment and Land Art will take place on reservations.
